OOC Activity Ranking

AniWaya has two parallell systems (see here), where one is based on activity. The activity based ranking is not the In Character hierarchy, but simply a tool to let the leadership have an overview of the members' activity, and to encourage a high post count. There are three categories within the OOC Activity Ranking table; Galvlati (13+), Nigav (5-12) and Eladi (<5). The numbers behind the name indicate how many posts (in 15 days) required to be in that group. The members of one group are sorted from the highest post count and downwards. Leadership and puppies' post counts are among everyone else's.

If you want your character to In Character be esteemed and respected in the tribe, and hold a high ranking in the hierarchy, simply glance downwards.

Unlike the OOC ranks, these titles are where your character is in the social hierarchy of the pack (unless your character is in the council of Elders.). It is your character's profession or job, and how skilled it is in this profession reflects how much respect the character holds from the rest of the members of the tribe. You here choose whether you are content as Itse (the general rank), or whether you wish to move upwards in the hierarchy.

Unless specified upon joining, each new member starts off as Itse, the general member title. Whenever the player wants to, he/she can choose which profession path he or she wants their character to take up. This path is then set, but it is changeable if you are not happy with it. If you change your path, you must begin at the first title of that newly chosen path, unless you have previously advanced in it.

Even when a character is promoted in to Leadership, they retain the title that they have previously taken up, making it possible for characters, even with a starting title, to move up in to Leadership. An exception to this is becoming Kalona - Kalona is a profession title in itself, and the highest title attainable. One cannot hold two titles at once, but one does naturally not lose the IC qualifications. Should the Kalona step down, he/she is allowed to take back his/hers original title, as far along the path as he/she had previously advanced.

Each path has three stages, and there are some demands that need to be met in order to move to the next stage.Your character must be an adult (6 months old or more) to take a title.

How to advance to the second stage of your path:
- If you wish to advance to the second stage of your path, please present three example threads where you perform your duties as the first-stage title.
- Send the thread links and your request as a PM to the pack account (named AniWaya).

How to advance to the third stage of your path:
- Notify the leadership that you wish to advance. They will then evaluate whether your character is "put out" personalitywise for such a standing in the tribe. If you get a yes; please present five example threads where you perform your duties as the second-stage title.
- Send the thread links and your request as a PM to the pack account (named AniWaya).

Depending on the quality of the threads given, and your activity, the leaders of the pack will determine whether you may be moved to the next stage of your title path. Naturally, previously used example threads cannot be used as part of threads required for next advances. This is partly because the duties of a title change somewhat when you advance to the further stages. Also, don't expect threads where you simply mention doing something path-related to be approved - we like a little bit of effort! The example threads should be threads where your character is actively performing the duties of your current title, preferably throughout the thread. Also, don't be offended if we deem your character's personality unfitting for a profession path. Each step of the path is a higher amount of respect for her/him, and if your character is a woman-slaughtering lunatic he can't also be the most regarded medic of the tribe. Here is the table that displays open and taken titles on the forum.

AniWaya was formed on December 15th in 2008. The concept was first thought of by Amber, former forum moderator and one of the founders of 'Souls. The idea has later been developed further by Marit, co-founder of AniWaya and now leader of this tribe, and her sub-leaders James and Sace. The native american lifestyle that this concept is based upon has largely taken materials from what is known and available of information on the Cherokee.
